THE LOT
IN MEMORIAM
IVANKA GRABCHEVA AND SVOBODA BACHVAROVA
The Lot is a film about the complex and extraordinary life of a banker who had ran the most reputable and stable bank in Bulgaria between the two World Wars. I think that this is a film about love and hate, about the struggle of the human mind to defeat fate… I would say that the novel attracts the reader’s attention with the strong and vivid characters… Certainly the fact that the main character is based on the well-known Bulgarian banker Atanas Burov is also important. The film is impressive for its costumes, props and settings.”
