„This film reunites an old creative team – screen writer Valeri Petrov and director Rangel Valchanov, who have become linked with the first ascension of Bulgarian cinema. The film focuses on the problem of the social and personal realisation of one’s talent. The difficulty the protagonist has in finding his medium, the impossibility to merge with it, to be necessary for it, turn him into a dramatic character. The most impressive scene and the essential core of the film is the party at which the artist celebrates his success, the sale of the sculpture and thanks the people of these circles for their help. But at the same time, he regrets that he has been forced to make a concession, and he says good-bye to the work of his life.”
